BNV : যিহোশাফট প্রভুত পরিমাণে সম্পদ ও সম্মানের অধিকারী হয়েছিলেন| তিনি ঐ দুটি রাজ্যের মধ্যে একটি সন্ধি স্থাপনের জন্য রাজা আহাবের সঙ্গেও একটি ব্বৈাহিক সম্পর্ক স্থাপন করেছিলেন|
KJV : Now Jehoshaphat had riches and honour in abundance, and joined affinity with Ahab.
YLT : And Jehoshaphat hath riches and honour in abundance, and joineth affinity to Ahab,
RV : Now Jehoshaphat had riches and honour in abundance; and he joined affinity with Ahab.
RSV : Now Jehoshaphat had great riches and honor; and he made a marriage alliance with Ahab.

ERVEN : Jehoshaphat became very rich and famous. He made an agreement with King Ahab through marriage.

BNV : কযেকবছর পরে যখন তিনি শমরিয়া শহরে রাজা আহাবের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে গেলে আহাব তাঁর ও তাঁর সঙ্গের লোকদের সম্মানার্থে বহু মেষ ও গরু বলিদান করেন| আহাব যিহোশাফটকে রামোত্‌-গিলিয়দ আক্রমণ করতে উত্সাহ দিয়েছিলেন|
KJV : And after [certain] years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people that [he had] with him, and persuaded him to go up [with him] to Ramoth-gilead.
YLT : and goeth down at the end of [certain] years unto Ahab to Samaria, and Ahab sacrificeth for him sheep and oxen in abundance, and for the people who [are] with him, and persuadeth him to go up unto Ramoth-Gilead.
RV : And after certain years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people that were with him, and moved him to go up {cf15i with him} to Ramoth-gilead.
RSV : After some years he went down to Ahab in Samaria. And Ahab killed an abundance of sheep and oxen for him and for the people who were with him, and induced him to go up against Ramothgilead.
ASV : And after certain years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people that were with him, and moved him to go up with him to Ramoth-gilead.
ESV : After some years he went down to Ahab in Samaria. And Ahab killed an abundance of sheep and oxen for him and for the people who were with him, and induced him to go up against Ramoth-gilead.
ERVEN : A few years later, Jehoshaphat visited Ahab in the town of Samaria. Ahab sacrificed many sheep and cows for Jehoshaphat and the people with him. Ahab encouraged Jehoshaphat to join in an attack on the city of Ramoth Gilead.

BNV : আহাব যিহোশাফটকে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, “আপনি কি আমার সঙ্গে রামোত্‌-গিলিয়দ আক্রমণ করতে যাবেন?” যিহোশাফট, আহাবকে উত্তর দিয়েছিলেন, “আপনার আর আমার মধ্যে কোনো পার্থক্য় নেই, আমার প্রজারা তো আপনারও প্রজা| আমরা অবশ্যই আপনার সঙ্গে যুদ্ধে য়োগ দেব|”
KJV : And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramoth-gilead? And he answered him, I [am] as thou [art,] and my people as thy people; and [we will be] with thee in the war.
YLT : And Ahab king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, `Dost thou go with me [to] Ramoth-Gilead?` And he saith to him, `As I -- so thou, and as thy people -- my people, even with thee in battle.`
RV : And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramoth-gilead? And he answered him, I am as thou art, and my people as thy people; and {cf15i we will be} with thee in the war.
RSV : Ahab king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat king of Judah, "Will you go with me to Ramothgilead?" He answered him, "I am as you are, my people as your people. We will be with you in the war."

ESV : Ahab king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat king of Judah, "Will you go with me to Ramoth-gilead?" He answered him, "I am as you are, my people as your people. We will be with you in the war."
ERVEN : Ahab said to Jehoshaphat, "Will you go with me to attack Ramoth Gilead?" Ahab was the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat was the king of Judah. Jehoshaphat answered, "Yes, you and I will be as one—my men will be as yours in battle.

BNV : যিহোশাফট আরো বললেন, “প্রথমে প্রভুর সন্মতি চাওযা যাক|”
KJV : And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day.
YLT : And Jehoshaphat saith unto the king of Israel, `Seek, I pray thee, this day, the word of Jehovah.`
RV : And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel; Inquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD today.
RSV : And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, "Inquire first for the word of the LORD."
ASV : And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Inquire first, I pray thee, for the word of Jehovah.
ESV : And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, "Inquire first for the word of the LORD."
ERVEN : But first let's ask the Lord for advice."

BNV : রাজা আহাব তাই 400 জন ভাব্বাদীকে জড়ো করলেন| তিনি তাঁদের জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, “আমরা কি রামোত্‌-গিলিয়দের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ যাত্রা করতে পারি?” তখন ভাব্বাদীরা বললেন, “যান ঈশ্বর আপনাদের রামোত্‌-গিলিয়দকে হারাতে সাহায্য করবেন|”
KJV : Therefore the king of Israel gathered together of prophets four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will deliver [it] into the king’s hand.
YLT : And the king of Israel gathereth the prophets, four hundred men, and saith unto them, `Do we go unto Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or do I forbear?` And they say, `Go up, and God doth give [it] into the hand of the king.`
RV : When the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
RSV : Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said to them, "Shall we go to battle against Ramothgilead, or shall I forbear?" And they said, "Go up; for God will give it into the hand of the king."
ASV : Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will deliver it into the hand of the king.
ESV : Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said to them, "Shall we go to battle against Ramoth-gilead, or shall I refrain?" And they said, "Go up, for God will give it into the hand of the king."
ERVEN : So Ahab called a meeting of the prophets. There were about 400 prophets at that time. Ahab asked the prophets, "Should we go and attack Ramoth Gilead or not?" The prophets answered Ahab, "Yes, because God will let you defeat Ramoth Gilead."

BNV : কিন্তু যিহোশাফট একথায় সন্তুষ্ট না হয়ে বললেন, “আমার প্রভুর কোনো ভাব্বাদী কি এখানে উপস্থিত আছেন? তাহলে তাঁর মাধ্যমে আমাদের প্রভুর সম্মতি নেওয়া উচিত্‌ |”
KJV : But Jehoshaphat said, [Is there] not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might enquire of him?
YLT : And Jehoshaphat saith, `Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah still, and we seek from him?`
RV : But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here besides a prophet of the LORD, that we might inquire of him?
RSV : But Jehoshaphat said, "Is there not here another prophet of the LORD of whom we may inquire?"
ASV : But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah besides, that we may inquire of him?
ESV : But Jehoshaphat said, "Is there not here another prophet of the LORD of whom we may inquire?"
ERVEN : But Jehoshaphat said, "Doesn't the Lord have another prophet here? Let's ask him what God says."

BNV : তখন রাজা আহাব যিহোশাফটকে জানালেন, “একজন আছেন য়াঁর মাধ্যমে আমরা প্রভুকে রশ্ন করতে পারি| কিন্তু এই লোকটাকে আমার মোটেই পছন্দ নয় কারণ ও কখনও প্রভুর কাছ থেকে জেনে আমায় কোনো ভাল কথা বলেনি| ও সবসময় আমার সম্পর্কে খারাপ ভবিষ্যদ্বাণী করে| এ হল য়িম্লের পুত্র মীখায়|” যিহোশাফট বললেন, “আহাব আপনার মুখে একথা শোভা পায় না|”
KJV : And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, [There is] yet one man, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he never prophesied good unto me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
YLT : And the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat, `Still -- one man to seek Jehovah from him, and I -- I have hated him, for he is not prophesying concerning me of good, but all his days of evil, he [is] Micaiah son of Imlah;` and Jehoshaphat saith, `Let not the king say so.`

ERVEN : King Ahab answered, "Yes, there is another prophet. His name is Micaiah son of Imlah. But I hate him. He never says anything good about me when he speaks for the Lord. He always says things that I don't like." Jehoshaphat said, "The king shouldn't say things like that!"

BNV : রাজা আহাব তখন তাঁর এক কর্মচারীকে ডেকে বললেন, “তাড়াতাড়ি গিয়ে য়িম্লের পুত্র মীখায়কে এখানে ডেকে নিয়ে এসো”
KJV : And the king of Israel called for one [of his] officers, and said, Fetch quickly Micaiah the son of Imla.
YLT : And the king of Israel calleth unto a certain officer, and saith, `Hasten Micaiah son of Imlah.`
RV : Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, Fetch quickly Micaiah the son of Imla.
RSV : Then the king of Israel summoned an officer and said, "Bring quickly Micaiah the son of Imlah."
ASV : Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, Fetch quickly Micaiah the son of Imla.
ESV : Then the king of Israel summoned an officer and said, "Bring quickly Micaiah the son of Imlah."
ERVEN : So King Ahab told one of his officers to go and find Micaiah.

BNV : ইস্রাযেলরাজ আহাব এবং যিহূদারাজ যিহোশাফট দুজনেই তখন তাঁদের রাজকীয পোশাক পরে শমরিয়া শহরের সামনের দরজার কাছে এক শস্য মাড়াইযের জায়গায় নিজেদের সিংহাসনে বসেছিলেন| ঐ 400 জন ভাব্বাদী তাদের সামনে ভবিষ্যদ্বাণী করছিলেন|
KJV : And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat either of them on his throne, clothed in [their] robes, and they sat in a void place at the entering in of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.
YLT : And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah are sitting, each on his throne, clothed with garments, and they are sitting in a threshing-floor at the opening of the gate of Samaria, and all the prophets are prophesying before them.
RV : Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah sat each on his throne, arrayed in their robes, and they sat in an open place at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.
RSV : Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah were sitting on their thrones, arrayed in their robes; and they were sitting at the threshing floor at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets were prophesying before them.

ESV : Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah were sitting on their thrones, arrayed in their robes. And they were sitting at the threshing floor at the entrance of the gate of Samaria, and all the prophets were prophesying before them.
ERVEN : At that time the two kings were sitting on their thrones, with their royal robes on, at the judgment place near the gates of Samaria. All the prophets were standing before them, prophesying.

BNV : কনানার পুত্র সিদিকিয লোহা দিয়ে কযেকটা শিং বানিয়ে বলল, “প্রভু বলেছেন: ‘ধ্বংস না হওয়া পর্য়ন্ত আপনারা অরামীয়দের এই শিংগুলি দিয়ে বিদ্ধ করে যাবেন|”‘
KJV : And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made him horns of iron, and said, Thus saith the LORD, With these thou shalt push Syria until they be consumed.
YLT : And Zedekiah son of Chenaanah maketh for himself horns of iron, and saith, `Thus said Jehovah,
RV : And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron, and said, Thus saith the LORD, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until they be consumed.
RSV : And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made for himself horns of iron, and said, "Thus says the LORD, `With these you shall push the Syrians until they are destroyed.'"
ASV : And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until they be consumed.
ESV : And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made for himself horns of iron and said, "Thus says the LORD, 'With these you shall push the Syrians until they are destroyed.'"
ERVEN : One of the prophets was named Zedekiah son of Kenaanah. Zedekiah made some iron horns and said to Ahab, "The Lord says, 'You will use these iron horns to fight against the army of Aram. You will defeat them and destroy them.'"

BNV : সমস্ত ভাব্বাদীরা একই সুরে কথা বলতে লাগলেন| তারা বললেন, “আপনারা রামোত্‌-গিলিয়দে যান| প্রভুর সহায়তায আপনারা নিশ্চয়ই অরামীয়দের পরাজিত করতে পারবেন|”
KJV : And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver [it] into the hand of the king.
YLT : With these thou dost push Aram till thou hast consumed them.` And all the prophets are prophesying so, saying, `Go up [to] Ramath-Gilead and prosper, and Jehovah hath given [it] into the hand of the king.`
RV : And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
RSV : And all the prophets prophesied so, and said, "Go up to Ramothgilead and triumph; the LORD will give it into the hand of the king."
ASV : And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper; for Jehovah will deliver it into the hand of the king.
ESV : And all the prophets prophesied so and said, "Go up to Ramoth-gilead and triumph. The LORD will give it into the hand of the king."
ERVEN : All the other prophets agreed with Zedekiah and said, "Your army should march now to go fight against the Arameans at Ramoth Gilead. You will win the battle. The Lord will let you defeat them."

BNV : এদিকে বার্তাবাহকরা মীখায়কে গিয়ে বললেন, “শুনুন মীখায়, সমস্ত ভাব্বাদীরা রাজাদের যুদ্ধ জয়ের কথা শুনিয়েছেন| আপনিও এবার গিয়ে ভাল ভাল কথা বলুন|”
KJV : And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets [declare] good to the king with one assent; let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like one of theirs, and speak thou good.
YLT : And the messenger who hath gone to call for Micaiah hath spoken unto him, saying, `Lo, the words of the prophets -- one mouth -- [are] good towards the king, and let, I pray thee, thy word be like one of theirs: and thou hast spoken good.`
RV : And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets {cf15i declare} good to the king with one mouth: let thy word, therefore, I pray thee, be like one of theirs, and speak thou good.
RSV : And the messenger who went to summon Micaiah said to him, "Behold, the words of the prophets with one accord are favorable to the king; let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak favorably."
ASV : And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one mouth: let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like one of theirs, and speak thou good.
ESV : And the messenger who went to summon Micaiah said to him, "Behold, the words of the prophets with one accord are favorable to the king. Let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak favorably."
ERVEN : While this was happening, the officer went to find Micaiah. When he found him, the officer told him, "All the other prophets have said that the king will succeed, so you should say the same thing."

BNV : প্রত্যুত্তরে মীখায় বললেন, “জীবন্ত প্রভুর দিব্য, আমার ঈশ্বর যা বলেন আমি তাই বলব|”
KJV : And Micaiah said, [As] the LORD liveth, even what my God saith, that will I speak.
YLT : And Micaiah saith `Jehovah liveth, surely that which my God saith, it I speak.`
RV : And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, what my God saith, that will I speak.
RSV : But Micaiah said, "As the LORD lives, what my God says, that I will speak."
ASV : And Micaiah said, As Jehovah liveth, what my God saith, that will I speak.
ESV : But Micaiah said, "As the LORD lives, what my God says, that I will speak."
ERVEN : But Micaiah answered, "As surely as the Lord lives, I can say only what my God says."

BNV : তারপর মীখায় রাজা আহাবের কাছে এসে উপস্থিত হলেন| রাজা তাঁকে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, “মীখায় আমরা কি রামোত্‌-গিলিয়দে যুদ্ধ করতে যেতে পারি?” মীখায় উত্তর দিলেন, “যান আক্রমণ করুন| ঈশ্বর আপনাদের শএুকে পরাজিত করতে সাহায্য করবেন|”
KJV : And when he was come to the king, the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And he said, Go ye up, and prosper, and they shall be delivered into your hand.

ERVEN : Micaiah went and stood before King Ahab. The king asked him, "Micaiah, should we go and attack the Arameans at Ramoth Gilead or not?" Micaiah answered, "Yes, go and be successful! You will take the city."

BNV : রাজা আহাব তখন মীখায়কে বললেন, “বহুবার আমি তোমাকে বলেছি, প্রভুর নামে আমাকে সব সমযে সত্যি কথা বলবে!”
KJV : And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou say nothing but the truth to me in the name of the LORD?
YLT : And the king saith unto him, `How many times am I adjuring thee, that thou speak unto me only truth in the name of Jehovah?`
RV : And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou speak unto me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?
RSV : But the king said to him, "How many times shall I adjure you that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?"
ASV : And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou speak unto me nothing but the truth in the name of Jehovah?
ESV : But the king said to him, "How many times shall I make you swear that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?"
ERVEN : But Ahab answered, "How many times do I have to tell you? Tell me the truth. What does the Lord say!"

BNV : একথা শুনে মীখায় বললেন, “আমি দেখলাম ইস্রায়েলের লোকরা মেষপালক ছাড়া মেষের পালের মত পাহাড়গুলোর ওপর ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে| প্রভু বলেছেন: ‘এদের নেতৃত্ব দেবার মতো কেউ নেই, প্রত্যেকে যে যার বাড়িতে ফিরে যাক|”‘
KJV : Then he said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master; let them return [therefore] every man to his house in peace.
YLT : And he saith, `I have seen all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd, and Jehovah saith, There are no masters to these, they turn back each to his house in peace.`
RV : And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master; let them return every man to his house in peace.
RSV : And he said, "I saw all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd; and the LORD said, `These have no master; let each return to his home in peace.'"
ASV : And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and Jehovah said, These have no master; let them return every man to his house in peace.
ESV : And he said, "I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. And the LORD said, 'These have no master; let each return to his home in peace.'"
ERVEN : So Micaiah answered, "I can see the army of Israel scattered all over the hills, like sheep with no one to lead them. This is what the Lord says, 'These men have no leaders. Let them go home in peace.'"

BNV : ইস্রায়েলের রাজা আহাব যিহোশাফটকে বললেন, “দেখেছেন, আমি আগেই আপনাকে বলেছিলাম মীখায় কখনও আমার সম্পর্কে ভাল কিছু বলেন না| শুধুই আমার অপবাদ দেন|”
KJV : And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee [that] he would not prophesy good unto me, but evil?
YLT : And the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat, `Did I not say unto thee, He doth not prophesy concerning me good, but rather of evil?`
RV : And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?
RSV : And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "Did I not tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?"
ASV : And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?
ESV : And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "Did I not tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?"
ERVEN : Then Ahab said to Jehoshaphat, "See, I told you! This prophet never says anything good about me. He always says something bad."
